thE sTORY leading to THE SONG
This is actually one of two songs that God delivered to me in a 2-day period while staying at my Dad's house for a few days. The first song suddenly came to me during prayer with God, as I knelt before Him and was overcome with His presence and words. The following day, I woke up from my sleep with the melody for the second song "To The Broken-Hearted" and Psalms 34 on my heart. Little did I know that my short visit at the house of my Biological Father, would end up being a songwriting session retreat from the house of my Heavenly Father as God breathed and sang these songs into my Spirit.
In fact, God was planting seeds all along in preparation for what was to come ahead concerning the nations. He revealed to me several words, one which involved seeing and revealing smoke from a flame, tears, fire and rain. In reference to the word given, God revealed that although the fire (God's presence) was sent to put out or wipe away the tears (to bring comfort to his people), in the heaviness of our tears (represented by rain) we may feel in turn that the fire within us is being put out or dwindling. God is the only one who can truly rekindle a flame and keep the fire within us burning. God fuels our fire. It is a reciprocal cycle which we can continue to receive renewal and refreshing when we stay close to God and remain in Him.

Ms. Mitchell has also performed with Gospel Recording Artists, Tye Tribbett, Kim Burell, JJ Hairston, Jekalyn Carr, Judith McAllister, and others on TBN Television.
Ms. Mitchell is also an Award-Winning Tribute Artist nationally and internationally recognized for tribute shows she has produced and headlined nationwide in theaters, casinos, cruise ships, concerts, and more.
